Nestled in the heart of Big 5 country adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park, with a huge
diversity of mammal and bird species, lies 11 500 hectares of pristine African Bushveld, this is the
Thornybush Game Reserve. The elegant and exclusive Thornybush Game Lodge awaits discovery
by the discerning traveler. Unrivalled big game viewing is complemented by exquisite
accommodation and sublime cuisine.

Morning and evening safaris in open landrovers are conducted by qualified rangers and trackers
from all lodges, with walks encouraged for the more adventurous. Children under the age of 6
are not permitted on safaris or walks. Children between the age of 6 and 12 will be permitted at
the sole discretion of lodge management.

Thornybush Game Reserve and Simbambili Game Lodge are situated in a malaria area,
prophylactic measures are recommended.

Getting to and from the Lodges:

Eastgate Airport: The reserve is 20km or a 25-minute transfer from this our closest airport.
Transfers to Thornybush and Simbambili can be arranged by The Thornybush Collection Safaris
and are charged for.

Daily flights by South African Express Airways link Eastgate Airport to Johannesburg, Sun City
and Cape Town.

Transfers by air and road can be arranged to suit the client's requirements.

Air Shuttle Services: Thornybush has one landing strip on the reserve, 1,2 km tarred runway,
able to accommodate up to a 12 seater aircraft. Thornybush reservations are always happy to
assist with the booking of charter flights either with Nelair or Fedair.

Thornybush Game Lodge boasts 18 stylish air-conditioned luxury suites and 2 family suites, all with
extensive living areas overlooking the seasonal Monwana River. From within the luxurious suites, each with
full en-suite facilities and private decks, sweeping vistas can be enjoyed over the savannah and an everactive

Shumbalala Lodge

With a maximum of eight guests, you'll be spoiled for privacy and exclusivity at this exceptional game lodge.
The four luxury suites, each equipped with an open fireplace, a picture window bathroom and private
viewing deck are set in the shade of trees lining the Monwana River.

The two bed-roomed presidential suites, in addition to all of the facilities of the standard suites, boasts a
separate dining room, lounge, and a private pool deck and pool - the ultimate in luxury and exclusivity!

In addition to the game viewing decks and swimming pools, there are two lounges, a curio shop, cellar and
a library in which to relax between game drives. Come home to the welcome of this luxurious lodge after an

Eight luxury air-conditioned en-suite tents offer private and exclusive accommodation.
Boma dinners are an occasion and an opportunity to select a bottle from the stock of fine wines
and to savour the finest fare. Settle around a log fire to recount the days' game experiences
before retiring to the lounge for a night-cap, or the comfort of your tent.

Our passion for hospitality and the excitement of dawn and dusk safaris in an open Land Rover,
ensuring close and unrestricted encounters with the wild.

The more adventurous are encouraged to join an experienced game ranger on a walk as he

Serondella Game Lodge

In the midst of the big five Thornybush Game Reserve lies Serondella Lodge. Here you will have
excellent opportunities for spectacular photographs of big game species daily visiting the close by
water hole.

Serondella Lodge accommodates only eight guests in 3 luxuriously appointed suites and a family
suite. The camp is set along the banks of a Monwana tributary. Each suite is carefully positioned
to ensure privacy and stunning vistas. The lodge is flanked by two water holes. Here guests can
enjoy the abundance of big game and birdlife from spectacular viewing decks.

A highly qualified ranger and tracker team, host you on a journey for the soul as you experience
close and unrestricted encounters with all that is Africa from an open Land Rover. For the more
adventurous guest, you will be invited to join your hosts on a bush walk.

Superb cuisine and personal attention is what Serondella Lodge offers.

n'Kaya Lodge

N'Kaya Camp is situated in the heart of the Thornybush Game Reserve adjacent to the Greater
Kruger National Park.

Tastefully decorated in warm, earthy indigenous woods, N'Kaya combines luxury with natural
simplicity.

Its four thatched suites are built around the edge of a clearing, distanced from one another to
ensure guests total privacy. Shaded by tall trees, the suites look out over the camp's superb pool
and towards the backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountains below.

Each suite consists of a large bedroom, two en-suite bathrooms, and a lounge. The lounge can
be converted into a second bedroom, en-suite and joined by inter-leading doors.

Waterbuck Lodge, exquisitely positioned in the southern part of The Thornybush Nature Reserve boasts 4 air-conditioned luxury suites with magnificent views from both the generous sized bedroom and en-site bathrooms.

In between exciting dawn and dusk safaris in open Land Rovers, take time to relax and enjoy the central entertainment and dining area, flanked by an inviting swimming pool and bar area. Or you are invited to simply withdraw into the sounds of the African bush on the tanning deck or lazing by the swimming pool.

Within the Thornybush Game Reserve lies Nkelenga Tented Camp.
This intimate camp accommodates a maximum of 10 guests offering you a self catering
experience in an air-conditioned main house with loft, perfect for accommodating children, and 3
en-suite tents.

At Nkelenga Camp you can enjoy your own privacy, whilst still enjoying the luxury of a private
game drive hosted by your own ranger and tracker team.

A dedicated housekeeper will ensure that you avoid unnecessary hassles whilst on holiday.

Beautiful scenery and excellent game viewing whilst overlooking the large active dam, or simply
by relaxing next to the pool.

Simbambili Game Lodge is a highly individualized destination for the discerning traveler located in the Sabi
Sand Game Reserve, which is part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Set in magnificent trees along the
meandering Manyeleti River, with views over extensive savannah grassland, that teems with wildlife visiting
an ever popular water hole.

Sophisticated yet simple, each suite has spectacular views whether from the unique en-suite bathrooms,
outside salas or individual private plunge pools.

Guests are encouraged to enjoy the extraordinary and unique wildlife of Africa, whether it is your choice to
linger at a close encounter with lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo or to be amazed by the extensive
array of birds and insects, or simply relax in the Sanctuary Spa.

Your ranger and tracker team will astound you with their ability to track big five game, whether on safari,
on foot or from an open vehicle safari.

Rates Include

• TOMSA levy of R 5.70 per person per night for all Lodges
• R 50.00 per person per booking Conservation fee

GENERAL DEPOSIT POLICY
For all bookings, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required within seven (7) days of the making
of a reservation, unless a booking is made within 30 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival in
which case full payment is required to secure the reservation.
The balance of the account must be paid, in advance, no less than 30 days prior to the scheduled
date of arrival. All other extras must be settled with The Lodge prior to departure.
Please note that a reservation is not confirmed or secured until this deposit requirement has been
paid in full. The Thornybush Collection reserves the right, without notice to the Company, to
release any accommodation held where the required deposit has not been paid in full within the
stated period.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Upon confirmation of reservation, The Thornybush Collection reserves the right to charge a
cancellation fee equivalent to:
60 to 31 days prior to arrival at the lodge = 25% Cancellation fees
30 to 00 days prior to arrival at the lodge = 100% Cancellation fees
All deposits of 25 % received on confirmation are Non-Refundable.

PAYMENTS

Payments can be effected by either:

• Credit Card, in which event the Company must advise The Thornybush Collection of the card type, card number, card expiry date, cardholder's name and passport number, the Company must request a credit card authorization form from The Thornybush Collection's reservations department. This document must be completed and returned by fax to The Thornybush Collection.

TRAVEL CANCELLATION INSURANCE
The Company is obliged to ensure that it has taken out (or the travelling guest has taken out)
adequate travel insurance to cover the financial implications of The Thornybush Collection's
Cancellation Terms and Conditions. The Company will bear the sole and absolute responsibility
therefore.

HEALTH MATTERS
Since Malaria is endemic to the Limpopo and Mpumalanga region where The Thornybush
Collection lodges are situated, it is essential to ensure that anti-malarial precautions be taken
throughout the year. It is the Company's sole and absolute responsibility to ensure that all
guests, tour leaders, tour guides, drivers, guides, pilots and the like consult with their doctors
and/or pharmacist prior to attending TC lodges in order to ensure that all necessary precautions
against malaria are timeously taken.
